How to play the Romanian word search
Each step is one stage of a single A1 round on the same six-word grid.
- Read a clue and work out the Romanian word. Drag from that word's first letter to its last, or click those two cells. The grid holds plain letters, so ă and â both appear as A.
- Finish the selection on the word's last letter to mark it. A marked word keeps its cells highlighted in the grid. Its row on the list shows a check. The Romanian spelling appears under the clue.
- A word can run in any of the eight directions. Start the selection at either end: mănânc (I eat) runs right to left along its row.
- A diagonal steps one row and one column at a time. The selection has to run in one straight line from one end of the word to the other. This drag follows carte (book) from its C down to its E.
- Choose Hint to show the first letter of a word you have not marked. The letter appears on that word's row on the list. The grid stays as it is. Each press takes a different word.
- Marking every word on the list ends the round. Choose New round at any time to build the next grid at the same level.
