How to play the Romanian memory game

Each step is one stage of a single A1 round of six pairs.

1. Click any card to turn it over. Half the cards carry a Romanian word, and half carry a meaning. Each word has one partner card that gives its meaning.

2. Choose a second card. The first card stays face up until you do. Turning the second card counts as one move, whether the two cards match or not. The clock starts with the first card you turn.

3. A word card and a meaning card from different pairs do not match. Both turn face down again after about a second. The board ignores clicks until then.

4. Turn that meaning card again, then turn the Romanian word that matches it. A matched pair stays face up for the rest of the round.

5. Match every pair to end the round. This round took seven moves: six matches and one miss. The clock stops on the last match. Choose New round to deal the next set of pairs at the same level.
