Romanian adverbs: from meaning to sentence use
Romanian adverbs normally keep one invariable form and can modify a verb, an adjective, another adverb, or a clause. Multiword adverbial phrases can do the same jobs. Start with meanings of place, direction, time, and frequency. Then describe manner, including how manner adverbs differ from adjectives. Continue by recognizing established adverb forms, comparing actions and qualities, and determining what focus and degree particles modify. This order puts meaning before form and sentence use.
